Minuscule 701 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε1405 (von Soden),〔Hermann von Soden, ''Die Schriften des neuen Testaments, in ihrer ältesten erreichbaren Textgestalt / hergestellt auf Grund ihrer Textgeschichte'' (Berlin 1902), vol. 1, p. 199.〕 is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. The codex contains the text of the New Testament on 170 parchment leaves (size )〔 The text is written in one column per page, 22 lines per page. The text of Matthew 23:1-20 was supplied by a later hand. The text is divided according to the (''chapters''), which numbers are given at the margin; the (''titles of chapters'') are given at the top and bottom. There is also a division according to the Ammonian Sections, with references to the Eusebian Canons.〔 It contains Prolegomena, the tables of the (''tables of contents'') before each Gospel, lectionary markings at the margin, incipits, Synaxarion, Menologion, and "barbarous pictures".〔〔
